Placing the design into the grid we established worked really well, the fluidity of the pattern is juxtaposed by the strict grid to balance the composition and abstract shapes are contrasted by the clean lines of the typography. Taking this design to the Client to show Andy from Jumbo the direction we wanted to take he couldn't have been happier with the design he said:
"I really like it, its just sort the of design I like [...] at a glance its instantly Jumbo and to people who don't know us its a really funky pattern"
We were really happy the client liked this direction and felt it represented the ethos of the store appropriately. With this sign off we then planned to explore this direction further experimenting with different compositions and colour palettes to extend the aesthetic into a holistic and contextually appropriate series.
