Brief 8: Ceramic Processes - Development: Hand Thrown Forms

Developing the Hand Thrown forms process poster I liked the full width type that I initially explored and chose to develop this further into a full poster aesthetic. The process is very technique based therefore is difficult to articulate its process effectively as it varies with each individual. Based in this I chose to describe the physical form created, this includes the type of clay, how it is fired, typical uses, and finish. This provides insight to the information I have learnt through exploring this process in being able to identify different types of clay for different uses and utilising the materials properties to create an appropriate final form. The aesthetic of the poster feels contemrpary and is clearly legible, this ties in with the simplicity of the instructions given within my demonstration of the process which was described as a set of simple instructions that I needed to become familiar with in order to improve my skillset within throwing forms.
