Brief 8: Ceramic Processes - Brief

Creating my own self entitled research brief we were encourage to look at interests beyond graphic design as a means of exploring new areas of inspiration and incorporating this within our practice. I chose to look at ceramic processes as the context of my research brief as I have an appreciation for contemporary ceramics. Brands such as HEY, Studio Arhoj, and Ferm Living are my main inspiration for wanting to explore this field in more depth as they  create a unique platform to engage with contemporary ceramic forms inspire an aesthetic lifestyle. I go into the brief with no prior experience of ceramics so everything will be a learning process, I like the face the brief will be practically based, physically experimenting with different forms as opposed  to collating secondary research as I feel the subject needs to be practical engaged with. The deliverables are purposely vague to complement this style of blind research however these should be translated into an appropriate Graphic output, which will determine the Target Audience, tone of voice and context.
