Brief 7: Up Yer Sleeve - Route 2 Development

Developing route 2, I experimented with a range of gradients, the colour palette is informed through the sky at dusk to connote the point where day meets night, This also conceptually connotes two different people coming together represented by the different colour merging into one to represent a relationship.

Exploring the lyrics of the track the main theme of the song is the process of taking 100 days for a mans heart to unfold, utilising this single word I started to experiment with distorting the type. Blurring the type represents how it is often unclear to see what you really want and exploring how you feel can often be ambiguous an unclear informing the type treatment.

The development is successful in creating a contrary and engaging direction that will appeal to the audience of the exhibition however am unsure how well the pastel colour scheme represents the powerful nature of the song both in the empowering lyrics and strength in Sharon Jones' voice.
