Brief 7: Up Yer Sleeve - Aesthetic Inspiration

Exploring a range of aesthetic avenues within my inspiration allows a diverse range of initial ideas to develop as a result. This research explores a range of media from contemporary album artwork to book design and exhibition installations. This aesthetic research is informed through a bold use of colour, high impact imagery, and creative expression, which aids the development of a sophisticated design concept.

I like the use of abstract imagery within the Disclosure album covers and broken hard artwork which could successfully link to the main themes of the track. The publication design inspires a 60's aesthetic utoiisng a range of bold primary shapes juxtaposed against a bold colour palette to create a strong design aesthetic, while the sbtrkt album cover  fits a contemporary design aesthetic that would appeal to the exhibitions target audience while promoting the bold energy of the track appropriately.
