Brief 2: YCN / GREENALLS - Printed Collateral: Bottle Collar Design

With the net for the bottle collar identified I began considering its aesthetic. Planning out rough sketches of information it was important the collar was exciting, informative, and straightforward.

I identified that the front of the collar should utilise high impact text to catch the eye of the audience and draw them into the product, For this I used the umbrella from the poster as a background with the oversized 'win' text. This will instantly engage the audience with the chance to win prizes however when placed on the template it appeared squashed, student feedback, identified similar comments that it could be developed further to give more of a 'wow factor'

Responding to this feedback, I considered how to give the front of the collar a more impactful design. This resulted in the juxtaposition of the rain umbrella and sun parasol, similarly to the aesthetic of the poster to generate a synergy throughout the campaign elements, which worked well allowing the design to flow more freely around the template. I plan to foil the grey WIN within the final resolution to catch the eye within a busy retail environment, it will also add an element of luxury exploring aesthetic finishes to more appropriately engage the audience.

Developing the rest of the collar design, the background is consistent with the umbrella's aesthetic which is really important in creating this synergy within the campaign elements, this also allows the user to remember the experience of the umbrella, in a positive social atmosphere which will influence their buying choices seeing the campaign extended into a retail environment. The back of the collar is the key information informing the user how to engage with the promotional completion and is anchored either side by the brand and campaign logos providing symmetry within the composition of the bottle collar, which will work particular well with its circular form.
